Short Biography
Since 1968 working full-time as a self-employed visual artist.
From 1975 up to 1988: a senior teacher in the sculpture department at the Academie Minerva at Groningen city, the Netherlands. Other teaching subjects: ‘flat forms and colours', ‘expressive three-dimensional forms’, ‘life drawing' and ‘anatomy’.

‘Figuration has always been a deliberate choice. The painting as a window: to a world beyond the world of the spectator’.

‘A window to a recognizable world, mystifying and re-creating reality through my own personal choices.’

Regularly solo and group exhibitions in the Netherlands and abroad.
